It's a fact:
Make your own Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients:

  • 120mls Milk
  • 475mls Cream
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 15mls Vanilla Extract

Method
In a bowl stir together the milk, condensed milk and vanilla extract. Whip the cream using an electric mixer until it forms stiff peaks. Fold the milk mixture into the whipped cream.

Freezing
Pour the mixture into an ice cream freezer and freeze according to instructions or if you do not have an ice cream freezer follow the following steps.
  1. Pour the mixture into a shallow plastic container with a lid.
  2. When the mixture is almost solid, usually after about an hour, take it out of the freezer and beat it well with a hand whisk or an electric beater and return to the freezer.
  3. When the mix is almost frozen again, remove from the freezer and beat again. The aim is to break down the ice crystals as much as possible to give a smooth creamy ice cream.
  4. Any inclusions, such as chocolate chips, should be folded into the ice cream now before finally returning to the freezer.

Eat the homemade ice cream as quickly as possible.
