In 1978 Michael Murphy founded Silver Pail and to this day it remains a family run business. It is located in Fermoy, Co. Cork where it is surrounded by natural beauty and lush pastures. It was this beauty that inspired Silver Pail to produce high quality, natural products.

The fresh milk and cream is sourced from the farms in the surrounding areas and is delivered daily which enables Silver Pail to manufacture consistently high quality ice cream, sorbets and desserts.

Silver Pail is the largest ice cream manufacturer in Ireland. There are 57 full time staff working at Silver Pail Dairy. Our workers process 30 million litres of Irish milk each year.

The factory is 80,000sq feet and has the capacity to produce 40million litres of ice cream per annum. Our customers are very important to us; therefore it is our responsibility to ensure that each and every customer is 100% satisfied with our product. In the factory we use the highest quality raw materials to ensure that expectations are met.

Silver Pails purpose built factory meets Global Food Standards and fully conforms to all appropriate food safety legislation. We maintain an accredited Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) Quality Assurance programme which incorporates a full microbiological testing and auditing.

To ensure that all of our products are free from contamination we maintain full product traceability. All of our suppliers are regularly audited on their Quality systems.
